Happy Birthday Nash!

As said by every mother before me, I can't believe my baby is one already! Our well-loved kids (some may call them spoiled) seem to have birthday weeks rather then days. First, Nash had a birthday party, complete with cake and presents, at daycare. Birthday dinner with us, including ice cream sundaes. Another birthday party with all our friends and their kids (tons of great gifts and a special dump truck cake). In addition, gifts arrived by mail intermittently, officially making it a week long birthday celebration! Needless to say, Julie June is now eagerly awaiting her birthday in July - unfortunately a long way off for a two year old.

Right on time, Nash has also started walking! His new mobility has gotten him into some spills and has lead to his already-off-the-chart-head being bruised and swollen in several spots.

Nash constantly giggles at his big silly sister. However, much of the time the feelings are not returned from JJ, especially since Nash has also started pinching and pushing her back. As Nash gets bigger though, they play better and better together; it will also be easier when Julie's "mine stage" passes:)

Julie talks non-stop these days; if you would like to be on her call list let us know - we always need volunteers! (Or, if you need removed;) She will take you around and show you her room and her owies (sp?) because she thinks the phone works like Skype. When I try to get the phone back she will tell me, "Mom! I am working! I not even kidding!" So don't plan on talking to anyone but her when she calls! Lately she is also very interested in what letters/words say. She asks, "What this say?" and usually she'll remember. She also remembers not-so-lady-like words she accidently hears! Although Aunt Kendra has taught her a few of those, she also taught her to read her first book, (term used loosely - it's actually more like memorizing and using picture cues:).
Sorry the pictures are out of order; still familiarizing myself with posting!

More Christmas Break videos

Here are a few more videos from our trip. (again, we forgot the camera, so all we have are videos.) Make sure you pause the music to the right:)

Nasher's little giggle and his dimples get me every time:)

Julie June and Nash riding "Little Red" at Terra's parents ranch. Julie renamed him "princess pony." By the way, Nash borrowed Julie's coat; we don't ususally dress him in pink:)

Dad thought it looked like so much fun, that he decided to try:)

We raced Julie in her new Barbie Car from Grandpa Mike and TT

Emily and I going down the sled hill

Here is Nash working on walking. He also transistioned from army crawl to real crawl on this day. He is now taking a few steps on his own and can stand on his own for a long time (usually his giggling makes him fall over:)

Trev and Bry wanted to go to Steamboat, but instead they built a ramp on the snowhill to practice their jumps. Here are their best tries!
